Events Frostproof, Florida Area Chamber of Commerce
United Way of Central Florida, Chamber of Commerce, & City of Frostproof Day of Impact Over 75 volunteers from throughout Polk County converged on Frostproof on Tuesday, July 22 to make a difference. Chairperson for the event, Kay Hutzelman explained that it was a "huge success." Not only did we have the support of our community business and residents, we had representation from Polk County Property Appraisers Office, Tax Collectors Office, Polk Community College, PCSO, Moretrench Environmental, COPS, as well as Ben Hill Griffin, Inc., Cargill Citro Pure, Citizens Bank, Chamber of Commerce, City of Frostproof, Florida Labor Solutions, Rehab Consultants, Care Center, FMSHS Student Council, The Learning Connection, Classic Communications, Frostproof Museum, Frostproof City Council, Frostproof Art League & Gallery, and many more individuals from the community. The day was a huge success with the painting of the American Legion Building on Lake Reedy, the cleaning out of Brad Simmons Gymnasium, and the highlight of the day was the painting of the "Pawn Shop" off the front of the Ramon Theater building. Days of Impact are designed to make a difference in the community, that was definitely accomplished on Tuesday, stated Jim Harmon, Chamber Director employed by Citizens Bank.
